I ordered expecting it to show up within a few days, but it ended up taking way longer than it should have. The tracking updates were unhelpful, so I had to chase just to figure out what was going on, which felt totally avoidable. The product itself was fine once it arrived, but the whole delivery experience definitely put me off ordering again.

I really liked it when I first got it, but after about a year the stitching started coming loose and the zipper got kind of rough to use. For the price, I expected it to hold up better. Having to deal with repairs this soon feels unnecessary.

The jacket looks good and fits okay, but I got sweaty really fast once I started hiking in it. I was expecting better airflow, especially for something meant to be worn outdoors. That part was weird because it seemed like it should breathe more than it did

I bought this from montane.com and, to be fair, the jacket fit really nicely and felt good to wear. After a few weeks though, the main zip started catching, which got annoying.

Then the pull tab on one of the pocket zips came off while I was out on a hike. For the price, I kinda expected the hardware to hold up better. Customer service was okay, but I’m not sure I’d buy again unless the zips get improved.

I ordered this jacket after carefully reading the sizing and warmth details, i felt a little dramatic when it arrived because I was like, wait... this is it? It was way thinner than I expected, and the fit didn’t look much like the photos at all. It’s not the worst jacket in the world or anything, but the description made it sound way more accurate than it actually was.

It’s not a bad product, but for the price, I was expecting a little more. It does the job, though I’m not sure I’d say it’s the best value for the money.

The gear itself was good, no real complaints there. I just didn’t love that the shipping cost showed up so late in the checkout process. Felt like a bit of a surprise, which was kind of Annoying.

I was just trying to grab a couple things while they were still on sale, and everything seemed fine at first. The site was a little slow, but I figured it was just busy or my connection acting up. I had my discount applied and was ready to check out, but when I went to pay, the checkout froze. I tried again thinking it was a one-time glitch, and the same thing happened — plus my discount disappeared. At that point I got annoyed and just bought it from another store.

I had my eye on a jacket for a while and was excited to order it, but every time I checked, my size was out of stock. I came back a few different times hoping it would magically be available, but no luck. After a while, I just gave up and started looking elsewhere.

I really wanted to like this jacket because it looks good on, but it just didn’t keep me warm like I expected. Even on regular winter walks, nothing too extreme, I still felt cold. Kind of a bummer.

The jacket itself is fine, but the pockets have been annoying. They sit in a weird spot when I’m wearing a backpack, and a couple of them are too small for basic stuff like my phone or gloves. The zippers are also fiddly when my hands are cold, which gets old fast. For the price, I expected a much more practical pocket layout. Also, the terms seemed to change from what I thought I was getting when I bought it, which just added to the frustration. Not a terrible jacket, but it’s not very useful for how I need to wear it.

I really thought this would hold up better in the rain, but it got soaked quickly. It ended up turning into one of those annoying little stresses I wasn’t expecting, and I’m disappointed with it

I wanted to like it, but it just fits kind of weird over my fleece... not awful, just not a great match with the rest of my kit.

This fabric feels rough and plasticky, like some bargain-bin nonsense. It’s not comfy at all, and I couldn’t get past how weird and cheap it feels

I emailed them twice and waited a full week, but apparently the “support team” is actually the ghost department. Still no reply, no update, nothing. Frustrating when all you want is a basic response.

Bought this jacket for regular walks. Disappointed. The wind goes right through it. Even on normal days. Not what I expected.

The jacket looks good enough and the overall style is fine, but it feels a little tight when I lift my arms or reach up. It’s not awful by any means, but for the price I expected it to be more comfortable and easier to move around in.

The jacket seems decent quality, I liked the look of it, but the sizing felt smaller than the chart showed. I ended up having to return it and order the next size up, it was a bit annoying but not the end of the world

I don’t know how hard it is to read an order, but they managed to send me the wrong size again. Basic stuff, yet somehow they keep getting it wrong.

I ordered a Montane shell and felt a bit unsure after I’d paid, like I suddenly started wondering if it would actually turn up or be as described. Luckily it arrived fine and I took it out on a wet hike last weekend. The waterproofing held up really well, the zips feel decent, and it packs down small, which is handy. It breathes okay, although I still got a bit sweaty on the steeper climbs. The fit is a little tight if you’ve got layers underneath, so I’d probably size up. Overall I’m happy with it, just not totally perfect.
